35 Weeks

Well Nick accidently cut off my stomach. We didn't notice it until later, but you can tell I'm bigger. I can still wear my jean capris. They are actually more comfortable than some of the pregnancy jeans I have. I started school on the 24th, so I've been so tired lately. Of course my adrenaline has kicked in, so I am still able to get all the beginning of the year things done (or as done as I normally do) in my condition! Ramona doesn't know what to think of all the new noises she's been hearing this week...along with her mommy raising her voice! She kicks and/or hits me when there are lots of things going on in the classroom. She'll come out knowing how to use the restroom and walk in the hallway since that's all she's heard me say about a million times a day for a week!

I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and thought it was on Thursday. I was really late to it, but everything appears to be good. I'm up a total of 22 pounds since I became pregnant. I was hoping to only gain 20 pounds total. Definitely not going to happen, and I still have 5 weeks left. New goal under 30 pounds?? Gosh I hope I don't gain 30 pounds. Guess I shouldn't have had that caffeine-free dr pepper float - oops. I really have been eating pretty sensibly. There's only an occasional night with some oreos and milk.

We ordered our monte luca glider after our last childbirth class and my first day of school on Monday. I am really excited about it. I tried to like other gliders, but I just couldn't pull myself away from the monte. I don't think it will make it to us by the time Ramona does, but it will be here within 6 to 8 weeks. Here's a picture of me a while ago perusing swatches on the orange monte luca glider at Baby Bliss. We ordered ours in chocolate.

34 Weeks

Well here I am at 34 weeks. There's only 6 weeks left. I have been super exhausted this week because I had to report back to school. Ramona and I worked in the heat most of this week and moved some heavy things. We're worn out, but my classroom is finished and looks great. I still have lots to do before Monday at 7:50. Some of it I've brought home and will tackle tomorrow. The rest will just have to wait until early Monday morning. I hope it all gets done!

Nick and I went shopping this weekend too. I needed some maternity clothes for work. I got some amazing deals at Target. From there things just started adding up. It's really difficult to spend money on things that will only be useful for 6 more weeks and hopefully that long. Who knows I might not even be able to fit into them at the end of the pregnancy. Luckily, it was tax free weekend here, so we saved some money there! We even bought some outfits for Ramona (big surprise there)!

33 Weeks

Here I am looking very tired at 33 weeks (and 1 day). I can't believe I only have 6 weeks and 6 days left! I am not ready yet! Don't get me wrong I can't wait until she's here. I just feel overwhelmed with the LONG to do list that needs to be completed before she arrives.

We retaped and repainted the lighter stripe in the nursery this weekend. It still looks amazing, but now it looks great up close too! We have a few touch ups left which will be a breeze. It's just finding the time. We have a busy week ahead of us. I start back to work tomorrow. Yikes! There is tons to do to prepare for the first day of school on the 24th. We have our 3rd child birth class on Monday and a Baby Basics class on Tuesday to top it all off!

I went to a Foundations of Literacy Continuing Contact meeting on Friday. Foundations is masters class that I took last year for both the fall and spring semester. As I was listening to the conversation, I was getting excited about starting school. Then I starting thinking there is no way I can stay out of my room until January. I know I won't want to go back when Ramona gets here, but I am now debating on just taking 6 weeks. I'm going to be praying about it and thinking as logically as possible about it. I know that it won't be easy to leave her no matter when it happens.

VHA Baby Shower

Nick and I had our 1st baby shower on Thursday! Nick works at VHA. He's been there since March. Everyone was so sweet and generous to our family. We appreciate it very much. Nick works with an amazing team. They gave us a wonderful shower with some delicious cake! We got many much-needed items which relieves huge amounts of stress. I wouldn't say that I've been nesting per se I've just been a mess because the house isn't ready for her. Ramona now has a pack and play which will serve as her crib for those first few months while she sleeps in our room. It's so wonderful to know she has a place to sleep if she decided to come tomorrow (although my doctor did a test and she for sure won't come for at least another week)! It's a huge sigh of relief knowing that no matter the status of the remodel or the condition of the house Ramona has a place to sleep!

Nick's boss Ricki's little girl Railey (she's almost 3 year) bought us a pink Cowboy onesie because he told Ricki that Ramona will be in full Cowboys gear while they watch the games together. Now all Nick needs is a matching pink Cowboys shirt...just giving everyone Christmas ideas!

This is a really cute Addias outfit with black pants. Ramona will have to wear it when she goes for her morning jog!

Nursery

Okay so it's still not finished, but the colors aren't changing. I love them! The touch up is going to be a huge job, so Nick is going to retape and repaint the lighter stripes. It's adorable and so girly. I can't wait to see the new floors down, so things can be set up and ready for Ramona!

32 Weeks

I'm a little late in posting this, but Saturday marked 32 weeks. I can't believe we only have 8 weeks left. Where did the time go? I report back to school on Monday, so I know from here on out time is going to fly.

Great Success

I can't believe it, but it's true the 3rd time is a charm. Ramona decided to face forward today. I guess she wasn't shy since it was only me there today. She cooperated nicely. The pictures weren't the best 4D ones you've ever seen, but I think it's because I am really too far along for great ones. We have little Ms. Ramona to thank for that. I guess she still wants a little surprise when she makes her official appearance in 8 weeks and 3 days. I am really excited that I got a little sneak peek today though. Nick is just bubbling. He thinks she looks exactly like me especially the profile. My sister thinks that Ramona has my lips. I guess we will really get to see when she actually arrives.

Here is Ramona's profile.

The circle thing on the right is the cord. You can see one eye, part of the other eye, her nose and lips.

Here is another face picture. You can see a little bit of the cord on the right. Then her eye and nose and mouth.

31 Weeks

Here I am getting bigger and bigger by the day. Ramona will be here in 9 weeks! I can't believe it's that close. It gives me butterflies and some slight anxiety! I am still in my jeans. Thank goodness. I do need to do some serious maternity clothes shopping, but since I'm not really going to work or doing much I figured I would wait one more week who knows how big I'll be then. Ramona is in the birthing position and has been for a while (see ultrasound fail blogs below). She's moving around a lot. She has started sticking her limbs out which really hurts. It's interesting how something that hurts so bad is actually comforting.
